Dear Friends,
Next up on the BTA calendar is an in-person talk on Georgian wines on Tuesday 3rd November at 6.15p at City Hall, College Green.
This talk will be given by Dr John Manley, founder of The Chemistry of Wine, and deeply knowledgeable about the Georgian wines and their distinctive character, and will be accompanied by tastings of Georgian wines.
Do you know your churi from your qvevri?
Do you know your marani from your duqani?
Do your legs get tired during rtveli?
Can you make a sadghegrdzelo at a supra?
If the answer to any of these questions is 'ara, batono' then our talk on Georgian wines is for you.
This is a free talk and there will be no charge for the wine. That's Georgian hospitality for you.
Please let me know if you will be attending the wine talk and tasting so that we can ensure that we have sufficient wines for the evening.
This talk makes a timely welcome to Georgian wines prior to the BTA Supra in November. Dr Manley is an engaging and fascinating speaker and I look forward to asking him whether it's true that Georgian wine never gives you a hangover. Get your questions and tastebuds at the ready.
Please let me know if you will be attending the wine talk and tasting so that we can ensure that we have sufficient wines for the evening.
With friendly greetings, მეგობრული მოკითხვით,
